In 2017, Governor Eric Holcomb officially proclaimed May to be Lyme Disease Awareness Month in Indiana in hopes of increasing public understanding and vigilance regarding Lyme Disease.
2018 Indiana Proclamation for the first week of May for Indiana Lyme Disease Awareness. The proclamation legitimizes the need for more education regarding Lyme Disease and other tick-borne illnesses.
